The Role

Overseeing and managing the legal affairs of the organization, providing legal advice and guidance to the wider business, including executives, managers, and employees

Descriptions

• Lead and manage the legal department, providing guidance and expertise on legal matters to support the company's operations and strategic initiatives

• Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

• Oversee contract negotiations, drafting, and review to safeguard the company's interests and mitigate legal risks

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide legal advice and support on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, intellectual property, employment law, and commercial transactions

• Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law or related field; additional qualifications such as a Master of Laws (LLM) or equivalent would be advantageous

• Proven experience as a legal professional, with at least 7 years in a leadership or managerial role

• In-depth knowledge of Cambodian legal system, regulations, and compliance requirements

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines

• Fluency in both Khmer and Business English is essential
